My mum and dad have my nieces this week to give my brother and sister in law a break (they’ve both been working from home full time and homeschooling).

They all came up to mine today, my boys entertained them and I fed them. All my mum says is “girls are so easy, they are so quiet”. They are 10 & 12.

I have 5 children. 1 tomboy girl & 4 boys all born within an 8 year period, so that’s what my mum and dad are used to now (although she doesn’t have mine stay with her. My parents live down the road and have been around almost daily while all of mine have grown up). Even when mine are ‘quiet’ there’s 4 booming men’s voices and my loud daughters voice in our house all ‘chatting’ and messing around!

Enjoy the rest of your time with your grandson

Such a precious time to spend with your grandchild. My DD cannot wait to see my Mum but it will be quite a while yet. He is so lucky to have you both - enjoy the rest of his stay x

Claire. Lovely pictures.

We swap them over tomorrow. So the Grandson goes back and we pick up the Granddaughter for 2 weeks. A 9+yr old is so much easier than a 4 yr old.

I have two of my granddaughters next week, aged 14 and 11. Its weird cos we always go to the cinema and they love to shop with Grandma (and my Credit card) but nothing's simple anymore is it?

Henry up at 4.40am 😳for a wee wee, then back to bed till 6.20, managed to squeeze in a Costa this morning & bonus it was in the “Eat out to help out “too They love COSTA as much as us

Then off to the Local theme park Adventure Island, no pre booking so first come first served, great day & great value, with all the Grandchildren 💞💞
Cleaning going on everywhere & the young kids that do the rides are fantastic
He’s just off to bed now when the neighbour starts cutting his grass & he’s got a one year old himself 🙄

Big day tomorrow, train to London for the Natural History Museum not looking forward to wearing a mask for most of the day
I thought I’d fit in some training when he’s in bed but I’m knackered just want a cup of tea, I put the black bags of rubbish out today for the bin men, then when I got home this afternoon realised they come tomorrow 😫this Grandparenting is hard
Happy holidays Dibbers

Claire. Grand parenting is easy. Remind me please what day is it?

Time just flies by and the whole day becomes a blur.

WOW 2 weeks you’re braver than me 💪😳like you say though 9 year old isn’t too bad, our Henry is missing his Mummy & Daddy though especially at bedtime & last night didn’t help when they FaceTimed, he saw his Mummy & started crying
He was ok after a while, but my DIL was upset that she had upset him
This is after my son had FaceTimed in the morning & rung to speak to him at lunchtime too 🙄I think they are missing him a lot, although they are the ones that wanted us to have him for 7 nights to start with 😳I cut them down to 5 so Hubbie can have a few days off before back to work
Have a wonderful time with your Granddaughter xx
