I didn’t go but we do a lot of tv/film conventions so a lot of my friends were “in the loop” as to how this convention was run. It was insane, they apparently oversold by 3000 tickets! That isn’t even funny. The photos from inside the venue showed people who managed to get in couldn’t even move on the bottom floor. This just ends up putting people off going again in the future. We did LFCC with a charity group the year Stan Lee went and the venue was at capacity and it was ridiculous, it was the middle of summer, no air con, people were passing out because even if they were willing to pay for water they couldn’t reach the stands to buy it. Everyone had somewhere to be and you couldn’t get out to get there, took us an hour and a half to get to the outside of the building through the trade entrance. So many people simply gave up trying. I was so grateful that we were there with the charity group because we at least had a stand to hide within and where I could keep my kids safe, at the time they were 3 and 5 and if they had gotten lost in that crowd I wouldn’t have been able to find them.
