Mobile When things go bump in the night!

Boxing Day night, I was sat up in bed feeling a bit poorly...when I heard a car speeding along the road, then a massive bang...I sat there and thought there’s no sirens or blue lights...then I must have fallen asleep...in the morning when I was going out I saw this!

An unlicensed drunk driver had sped along the road, hit the white car, which hit the burgundy car, that hit a black car, then it span, landing up on the pavement opposite, breaking my neighbours fence!

The white and burgundy cars are husband and wife cars, with the burgundy car being his work vehicle! Luckily nobody was injured...let alone killed. 😳

How dreadful However a good job nobody was hurt in the cars. I suspect the offending driver will be banned for 18 months even though he doesn't have a license.

Maybe he will also be sent to bed early.

Those cars are somebody's pride and joy and the owners will now face higher premiums because of a piece of scum

Oh no those cars 😱 I’m glad the owners of them were not in them, but what an inconvenience for them!

That drunk driver deserves a good case of whiplash for a good few months. A painful reminder of his stupidity and hopefully a reminder not to do it again! 😡

Unfortunately something similar happened to me. Someone tried to rob the pub on the end of the road and tried to escape in the owners car. Didn't realise we live in a very tight cul de sac and promptly smashed into a load of cars trying to turn round and escape. Abandoned the car on the end of our road and ran off into the night!

Luckily my car wasn't too badly damaged but I had to pay the excess of my insurance so it was just a massive pain to sort out.

It comes to something when you can't even park safely outside your own house.

I believe that the drunk driver that did this should get a few months in prison, but unfortunately he will only likely get a ban and a fine if it's his first offence. I also agree that it is so unfair that the insurance premiums for those innocent people whose cars were smashed up will now increase.

Awful and the owners of the damaged property are the ones who pay the price with higher premiums etc.

We had something similar happen in my street a few years ago but the car narrowly missed other cars in the street and ploughed straight into someone’s front room. The house was severely damaged and the owners had to move out for months whilst it was fixed. Fortunately it was the middle of the night so they were upstairs. They never found the driver of the car but it was stolen and full of empty cider cans and a vodka bottle.

The law is a ≈≈≈≈. It’s most likely not the first time, and should be getting ten years in jail instead of your a naughty person

Just an update on this...

‘In sentencing, magistrates handed ***** an 18-month disqualification from driving, although he will be allowed to take the driver’s awareness course, which could result in a slightly shorter disqualification period.

He was also fined £287 for driving without the correct insurance policy. Magistrates made him pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 in costs, taking his total bill to £404.’

This really helped the man who had the 2 cars wrote off! 🤬🤬
