How did your parents meet

At University in Edinburgh the year after WWII ended - my mother being one of the first women reading engineering

My mum and dad met at the bbc .
Dad was a sound engineer then and my mum worked in the offices

Their mums worked together following WWII and introduced them to each other. Dad was engaged to someone else when they met but broke it off after meeting my mum. The rest is history.

My grandparents grew up together, my mum and dad shared a pram...

My dad crashed a party. Mum was a student nurse but dad had a job in Australia and was leaving soon so they met married and moved to Australia within a few months.
Unfortunately mum dropped out of nursing school and never became a nurse which she does regret.

They’ve been married 55 years.

Mine went to school together. My dad claims that he went in to get his appendix out in his early 20s and by the time he left hospital their families had arranged the wedding! 47 years married for them this year.

My parents got engaged on April Fool's day. For the next forty one years (until death parted them) he always said he was only joking.
