Thank you Disney

I have to give a massive shout out of gratitude to Disney. Just as Rise of Skywalker was released my DH’s friend’s wife (in the US) suddenly became very seriously ill and had to be hospitalised. She wanted to be released to see Rise of Skywalker but the doctors wouldn’t release her.

With her family keeping a bedside vigil none of them could see it. So my DH put a call out asking if anyone he knew had any contacts at Disney who could see if there was any way they could be shown the film outside of a cinema.

We weren’t really expecting a response but before we knew it some high level execs in Disney were in contact and things started to move. Unfortunately Christmas & New Year got in the way but a couple of days ago Disney made it happen. They took a copy of Rise of Skywalker around to our friend’s house so that his wife could be given a private screening of it.

We really want to thank everyone involved in making this happen. It brought joy to a family facing some very dark days.

Wow that's great! Nice to hear that Disney have dome something like that and brightened up your day during a very difficult time!

Thanks, she has come through her operation but is facing many months of treatment. But they really were bowled over by the Disney magic.
