Once the window is out you are home and dry!
The render will be fine - hopefully! Then you clean all the area to get rid of rubbish bits of cement, old mastic and the many years of built up dust coming from the cavity. Before that stage a decision will have been made as to where the window goes. Some houses they go slightly into the cavity, some houses they go slightly onto the outside wall. I always like them to go 10mm into each cavity. So you put your fixing blocks into the cavity some 20mm set back, then you slide the window 20mm into one side them pull it back so it ends up 10mm into each cavity. Then you use circa 3 fixing screws each side that you cover over with plastic caps so the screws aren't seen. Finally you can gun around the frame inside and outside. If there is a gap too big to gun you use D Mould and gun that on and around it. Well sealed then. Finally the internal cill goes on. The only problem that can happen is if the outside render is really old and 'frost shot' so it's just hanging on by it's fingertips! Then you may have a problem. Mine was like that until I had the house re rendered but still it didn't break when the windows went in. It's all about being careful.

I just need you to do it now
Knowledge is def power as if I could choose I would just replace the whole window as opposed to the glass as in time the frames will need to go - so will end up paying twice! Just don’t want the render disturbing Thank you for advice and help
