I had a huge change at the end of last summer. My choice though.
I'd spent 25 years in financial services, had my own biz for the last 7/8 years, but lockdown made me rethink. Biz was ok, but when it came down to it, I was bored. So, at 48 years young, I took a Delivery Service Partnership with Amazon, and within 6-8 weeks had 20 vans on the road. Last week we added 3 more 'non Amazon' vans to expand further. More are coming too. My view, give it a go, the change has done me the world of good. I love my business now, and having 30+ drivers that I've been able to give consistent work to in these trying times is a huge bonus too.

Hi,
11 years ago my husband, brother and myself were made redundant from the same company - my husband and brother decided they would start their own company doing the same thing as they had done this for 30 years - I did the office side of the business - they didn't want to be a big company just enough work for them and 2 days in the office for me. Then 6 years ago my Mum died and left a huge hole in my heart and my life - I needed to do something else other than 2 days a week - my friend was giving up her salon and although I'm not a hairdresser decided to take it over. I went on a gel nail course and a couple of other things - found a hairdresser and opened up a couple of months later - Although I've had some struggles I'm glad I did it. I was 51 when I took the salon over. So do it, you're never too old - good luck x

Always better to look for work from work rather than from unemployed.
