Fort Lauderdale, Hard Rock Guitar Shaped Hotel

Just booked a night at the Hard Rock Hotel, Fort Lauderdale for the night before our flight home, after our cruise in Feb.
Only booked the cruise this week as an emergency holiday before the wife starts a new job in March(don't know if she will get leave this year once she starts).
Saw the hotel when doing a search the other night and thought it looked cool, unique and had a good pool.
Just wondering if anyone had stayed here and what their thoughts are.

I�ve not stayed yet but will be really interested in your thoughts after your stay!
It was on my list as our original plan was to fly into Miami this year and stay there on our way to Orlando but then the tampa flights were significantly cheaper when I booked so maybe another year 😉

It only opened in late Oct/early Nov - not sure of exact date but drove past it and its certainly eye catching in the dark. WOuld post my photos but taken from a moving car they aren't particularly good.

We took some photos of it last August when driving past, we stayed at the Hyatt House nearby. It does look really good. Super convenient for FLL airport. Millers Ale House was good. It's also about 3 miles away from a Trader Joes/Costco/mall. Enjoy.

Thanks for the kind words re the wife's new job. She was devestated when she was made redundant when TC went to the wall, after 28 years. She's been fortunate to secure a cabin crew position at Virgin.
Rod Stewart is playing at the Hard Rock the night we are there but we won't see him as we will have the boys with us and don't want to miss the guitar light show as they are at 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
We may have to go down the road to Miller's Ale House for dinner... love the zingers

Pleased to hear your wife got sorted about her job with Virgin - lots of staff travel opportunities there

for the family to take advantage of. Good luck to her and hope she doesn't get any grumpy passengers.

We stopped in here a couple of weeks ago on our way back to Miami airport. We walked through the hotel and Casino and even stopped for a bite to eat. The outdoor pool area looks amazing and they had fantastic music playing at each different eatery and pool location. It was busy at Christmas so I can only imagine what the High season would be like. They have valet parking but there is also free self parking just around the back with entry straight into the hotel. It was definitely impressive!
