I contacted universal direct and told them of my issues with florida escapes and they said they would contact them on my behalf. I had an email last week to say a cheque was in the post, it is coming from the US in dollars, which they told me would be the case and asked if I was happy to proceed on that basis. Florida Escapes are the worst company I've dealt with when trying to sort out my cancelled holiday, poor communication, unprofessional and unhelpful.

Yes as per my update they are going to refund me minus 10%. They confirmed by email eventually. I did have to send the tickets back and have to wait a minimum of 2 months for a refund from when they received my tickets back. They did email me to confirm receipt of the tickets and said they would be sending back to universal for a credit.

Which email address did you use racheal244 or did you just use the form on their website?

I did initially complete the website form and received a standard cancellation email back for my insurance but then emailed them on the above email address |

No problem, good luck. I really do think it's a poor service from them

So has anyone managed to get insurance to pay out for these tickets?
