I wonder if their closure is an impact of the explosion of dining options at Disney Springs. There are so many more choices today than there were 2-3 years ago and many of the casual offerings are excellent within their niche, such as Polite Pig, D-Luxe Burger, Chicken Guy! and Blaze.

I preferred Wolfgang Puck Express compared to the cafe.

You could be right. We normally visited several time a trip but last year on QSDP only went once.

No! We love WPE and eat there as often as possible. It’s our ‘go to’ at Disney springs (without reservations) and there is always a queue there.

a real shame

Best value food on WDW, a QS credit for the food they serve, outstanding value

Oh and always tip the server, normally $10 ( sometimes $20 if they have been overly helpful ) for the 4 of us, but the servers have always been very good, always wondered why servers at TS get tipped 20% ( $10 plus each ) and this place some didnt tip

I would say no. There are not many choices to sit and eat in the Marketplace area. WP opened a new location late last year over in Town Center and closed the locations on the West Side. If anything it would be because of Covid. The DS website says is is temporarily unavailable, but the signs are gone and the windows are blacked out (i work in that area of DS). They may have elected to just keep their table service location in Town Center open since it is larger.

Since I work in that area, when I was taking some trash out from DDOC in the hallway we share with WPE, I noticed the birds aren't coming around, since there is no food!
