I do now but only because after reaching the ripe old age of 70 I was required to upgrade to a photo version which fits conveniently in my wallet.
Never bothered with my paper one as it only ever came out when hiring a car (usually in Florida) 😉

Yes as it’s strongly recommended to do so incase you get pulled over by the police.

If you don’t have it you have to report to the police station with it within 7 days. I couldn’t be bothered to do that so easier to go with the recommendation of carrying it with me.

Yes, my DL is in my purse and I take my purse out whenever I leave the house. My hubby doesn't carry anything apart from his phone which doubles as a payment device using Samsung pay. I have to remind him to take his bank card and DL on holiday just in case anything serious happens to me.

No, and have no intention to do so unless I have to.

Yes. Always. It’s in my purse. Growing up in the states it seems quite normal to me to carry id and I do seem to need it relatively often. Collecting parcels for example.

When I first moved here I found it strange that we didn’t have photo ID and I was often asked to prove my identity with a utility bill or bank statement which frankly doesn’t prove very much...

I have to have my CPC card, Digital Tacho Card at all times so DL is in wallet with them.
At work I use HGV at times some are digital some analogue but have to carry those to.
Of course the 7 day producer is an allowance as the offence committed at the time of request not 7 days later.
