I started watching episode 1 and the canned laughter put me right off. I thought it would be a little darker.

It’s a no from me

The canned laughter is true to it being a 1950s sitcom.

It is quite dark if you think about it.

Think Life On Mars, Pleasantville, Truman Show ... the cosiness is a fiction and real life is bleeding through. But whose fiction, how and why?

I found it intriguing and I’m looking forward to seeing where it’s heading. I’m sure it will all make sense by the end.

Yes! Truman show. Oh was trying to remember what it reminded him of.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy it but I must say I'm intrigued to see what happens

I assume people had seen the trailers and some of the information provided about this show? It made it pretty clear what this was going to be and what it was going to be like. So what we are seeing on the screen aligns with what we were told we were going to get - so no surprises (in terms of the type of show anyway).

The first 5 or 6 episodes are going to be like sitcoms from the various eras. There will be little hints that something weird is going on (the whole situation of Wanda and Vision being stuck in sitcoms and Vision is somehow alive is strange enough) but it'll be mostly Wanda and Vision in a sitcom during this time. Then in the last 3 episodes we'll find out what the heck is going on and, I believe, they'll drop the whole sitcom thing.

I hadn’t but did a bit of Googling after I’d watched the first episode. So I think I understand what might be going on now.
