Does this then include the free parking. If not how much was it for those who upgraded for the free parking. My thought is maybe upgrade one ticket to get free parking for the 2 weeks. Plus we plan on eating a lot down city walk this time do you get discount there.

Thanks all. We only have a three day pass for two parks - can you upgrade from these? Thanks again

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade from any ticket. But you won't know the value they put on the ticket till they tell you the upgrade price.

UNiveral allow you to upgrade any ticket to an annual pass, so yes you will be able to upgrde your 3 day pass. You will see lots of posters inside mentioning why not upgrade.

Preferred pass does give free parking and food discount and the 1 hour early entry like the onsite hotels. 1 preferred pass gives food discount for party, but not for early entry.

Also, you can upgrade to the lowest level annual pass (or seasonal) and then upgrade to the next level season pass at any time for just the difference (Just look at their website at annual pass prices and the difference is what you will pay).

As they sometimes relax the rules on blackout dates, getting the lowest level and then upgrading if you need to at the time is also a good approach. This summer they removed the blackout dates earlier in the summer and gave early entry for seasonal pass holders as part of their appreciation month. So go low and get the lowest seasonal pass and upgrade at the time if you need to might also save you money.

Think I'll be upgrading at least one of our 3 Park 14 Day Explorer tickets to a Preferred Annual pass on the first day of our November visit.

The free self-parking alone will save us close on $200 over the 13 days we're there (we know we'll have to pay on the first day, but after that it will be free). We've got free parking on our tickets for SeaWorld / Aquatica / Busch, so our sum parking total for the holiday will be $25. The 10% discount on food at CityWalk will be useful too.

Also, we park-hop a lot - never spend a full day in any park, so the free Universal parking will stop us thinking mid-afternoon "is it really worth going to Universal now?" after doing Aquatica & SeaWorld earlier in the day.

Just a thought but could you go upgrade on first night your arrive when they don’t charge for parking after 6pm (if that’s still the case) or are you able to go into a universal hotel and upgrade there. It’s all new to me and to be fair I’m not planning on going back within 12 months but if it’s worth it I will do it for one ticket to get the parking included all depends on the cost.

Just been looking at this with a view to upgrading to save on parking (during a single visit).Unless you intend to visit Universal at least 7 times it doesn't seem worth it, roughly $360-$370 for a 2 week pass, the 3-Park Preferred Annual Pass(cheapest with free parking) is currently listed at $503.99 on Universal's website so the upgrade will cost $130-$140.
However, if you're not intending to visit Volcano Bay, there is an upgrade for a 2-Park Preferred Annual Pass which is roughly $110 cheaper, currently listed at $394.99. Might be worth considering for some.

We gave annual passes which we pay monthly using universald flex pay system.
We prefer universal these days to the very expensive not feeling it WDW.

Thanks all - lots to think about. Will definitely ask at guest services on one of the days.
