What kind of food is this generally?

I don't know if I should book one for my 7 year old or leave it as an adults meal (I assume you can do this?)

On the way out I believe we had cheesy pasta, way home nuggets and mash. Although I booked both they ran out on the way home though. I think they're better off the adult meals if they like pasta or rice. Much better sides like the crackers and rolls that helped fill her up anyway.

This was what was served to my kids last year, they were 12 and 10 last year. To be fair they like most of it, they’re odd lol. I always take snacks anyway and get a boots meal deal just in case (and they always eat that too!)

My DD wouldn’t eat the main meal but the sides & tea are far more kid friendly than what comes with an adult dish. We order her the kids meal and take food for her main we know she’ll eat. Eldest DD is coeliac anyways so has the GF meal (& food we take with us we know she’ll eat and is suitable)

The kids meals are vile. I have 4 "non-fussy" eaters and even they complained. Wouldn't have fed it the dog.

BA food for kids and adults in August was terrible. Eat before you get on and bring snacks.
The quality has gone down so much.

I'm planning on getting sandwiches and snacks once we are airside as my 2 will certainly turn their noses up at anything like the picture above. There is nothing worse than tired and hungry children so I plan on having plenty that they will eat stuffed in my bag.

As others have said, the kids meal comes with other nice things even if they don't eat the meal, babybel, little chocolate, raisins etc, capri sun.

We also had cheesy pasta on the way out. I cant remember what they had coming back. Also the afternoon tea was nicer than the adults. Their sandwiches were chicken, ham and cheese I think.

BA served the nuggets as a child meal on the way out last November but neither of my kids ate them. To be fair, I had some of their mash and corn/veg and it was pretty tasty. My two didn't eat much of anything on the plane actually (even though I had also taken sandwiches/crisps etc) and we all refused the meal on the way back as we had had dinner already and wanted to settle them down for a sleep.

Hoping they eat more this time round
