No heating on here in Nth London and yes it’s absolutely pouring down ... has been since about 2pm this afternoon today. Yesterday the patio and garden was flooded it was coming down so hard.

I do try not to put the heating on till November and then it’s off again by April or earlier if possible.

A bit early for me for heating yet. I put it off as long as possible, I prefer to add a layer of clothes. Windows still open too

A mild 16° here in Whitstable, but we have just had a torrential downpour. Typical as I'm heading out to work shortly.

Yep! Given in...heating on tonight and winter duvet back on the bed!

Still off to the happy place in a few weeks to get some sun before the winter sets in proper!

Not quite time for heating here in Essex, but I did pop it on for half hour yesterday to check if any of the radiators needed bleeding as it looks set to get colder the next couple of days.

I try not to have it on until November normally, apart from the odd cold evenings.

I’m fed up with the rain though and would much prefer it just to be cold. Feels like it’s been raining for 10 days solid with no sign of letting up 😞

The rule in my house is the heating doesn’t come on until I stop wearing my summer shorts. At least another six weeks of shorts left in Kent I reckon.

I've had the windows open today. It's pouring with rain at the moment but it's still 17 degrees outside. Heating won't go on until I get back from holiday (29th).

Wife can have the heating on when it drops below 5 degrees, but we still sleep with the windows locked open.

We went out for a quick walk on Friday afternoon- of course as soon as we got 10 minutes from the house the torrential rain started! Was a pair of drowned rats by the time we got home, DH even had a waterproof jacket on and the rain had soaked through it.
