Ba allocated seat question
Just logged onto my account to see if our seats have been allocated yet to find they have but are shocking
Now, I know if I want decent seats, I should pay blah blah blah and I can also change them for free at check in the day before. The thing is we're travelling up the day before while check in opens and I'm worried all the decent seats will be gone! When I say our seats are bad I mean we have been allocated middle row 30 DEF and 29EF. My problem is they have put myself and DH in front (29EF) and the kids behind-my 3 year old being on the F seat, next to my 9 year old DS Are they just doing this in the hope I panic and pay the £140 to choose my seats? Should I complain? I have the BA mobile app for BB and can check in online but can I still select new seats with that? Sorry for the essay

I would call BA customer services and explain, they are extremely family friendly. I am sure they will help out. Not sure I understand the 3y.o being in a different allocated row to the adults, but your family members in truth could sit anywhere in that arrangement just see them as your family allocation as opposed to specific seats to specific family members. Either way if you need help BA are normally quite obliging.
Good luck

I don't believe that you have any grounds to complain because either parent/adult can sit in one of the seats behind with the 3 or 9 year old and the other child can sit in the front with one of you, so both kids will be seated next to an adult (hence why you have no grounds to complain).

nobody checks that the right person is in the right seat so there isn't really a problem

Thanks everyone, Ive calmed down now lol. Worst case scenario, we'll switch seats I just couldnt believe they would put a 3 yr old in a row of kids and on an aisle seat!
Gonna try my best to get different seats at check in. Can I choose different seats on my mobile app or is it just to check in?

i have found Ba really helpful .I called and explained were travelling as group of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 children under 10 .but myself and one of the children are wheelchair dependent and they have booked seats going right across from each other .
We shall just move around in the seat space ( well bar me ) as needed throughout flights |
