Awful traffic today

We didn’t think it would be great but we’re travelling from Winchester to Manchester. We’ve done 118 miles so far at an average speed of 17 mph. Doing about 3mph on the M42 atm.

Mmm, maybe a lot of people heading off on Holidays? Very frustrating when the roads are slow.

The flip side in Cardiff as the children are off school is the roads are dead! Trips are taking me 50% less time especially around school drop off and pick up times. Love it.

I’m the same in Edinburgh, roads are almost pleasant in the School Holidays. We only have 2.5 weeks left though 😢

Sat nav reckons another 3 hours to do the remaining 88 miles 😁. So a bit quicker 🤞

Friday afternoon at peak time I’m afraid, although M42 is a car park most of time anyway.
Wait until you get the 20 odd miles of roadworks on the M6, 50 mph with average speed cameras.

Glad I picked up the Grandson as soon as his school finished at 12.30pm on Weds. Did the whole journey there and back in just over 6 hours averaging 65mph both ways.
