I've sort of factored $110- $115, for ours, the 50 -75 pointers appear to be going close to mid $130 & that close it's a toss up whether to go Direct or not. Hoping the $ will sort itself soon

Which resort- SSR? How many points again? The problem with waiting is that it did seem to take a dip around the new restrictions been announced- a modest one. We could see it going back up if Star Wars blows people away like I think it will. I think the land and Rise of the Resistance will be phenomenal and show actually what is so good about the Disney Parks division- the amazing imagineers (what I love about it anyway). I suspect ROTR will be better than Shanghai Pirates which is phenomenal, and easily the best bit of ride engineering ever made. Then the 50th. As long as the US economy holds up, the main driver, I see Riviera points hitting 200+ next year and resale going up accordingly. But its speculation.
I still think how I managed to pick up a an SSR contract at around $65 a point (after renting banked points) as late as 2016. Then >$100 seemed laughable.
I agree it is a toss up about paying $130 for 70 points ish on resale and direct- particularly if you dont already have perks. I would probably though buy 100 - 120 (then price per point decreases a bit) resale with the money it would cost for 75 direct.

when I started off I was determined to get a contract under $100 per point and turned down some counter offers based on that. my first contract had banked points and was accepted at $98 it was taken on ROFR. Just like YT the price was going up at the time and it was getting harder and harder to find the contracts. my second one I breached my own rules and accepted an offer at $103 - I still think its good as it also had banked points - this one went through and I'm so glad it did any later and I would not have got in before the rules changed so definitely worth it for me.
