My first ever onsite stay was the Contemporary way way back in the day in an MK tower room. I still remember early mornings drinking coffee on the balcony, watching the mist rise over the Seven Seas Lagoon and listening to the sounds of MK. Since the it’s always held a special place in my heart. That’s why I bought BLT as soon as it was announced and that’s my favourite DVC resort.



I’ve stayed in every resort except Hilton Head and Aulani. Each one has its own uniqueness, there’s only one I’d not stay in again but apart from that the rest all have something to offer.

Same with us and like you, were lucky enough to stay the first week BLT opened. That theme park view is amazing.

We’ve stayed in all the DVC Resorts apart from Hilton Head and Aulani. We have two we wouldn’t stay in again.

I’ve got a way to go to catch up on resorts - I have yet to stay in Hilton Head, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West and anything at the Wilderness Lodge - it’s not that I don’t want to try them, but rather I always want to stay at my two home resorts - one to get my Bay Lake Tower fix and two, I love that I can eek out my points at Animal Kingdom lodge by staying in their value rooms - I prefer to stay in those longer than try anywhere new these days!

My two home resorts (thankfully I made the correct purchase choice!) are my favourites so far in WDW, although I loved both Aulani and the Villas at the Grand Californian too 🙂
