Mobile One Size Clothing

I keep seeing loads of ads for what look like nice dresses and such that come up on my FB feed but when I look at them a lot of them seem to be “one size”. Seemingly they fit from a size 8-18. I just can’t see how?

I’m at the bigger end of the size range and just don’t understand how the same dress would fit me and my daughter who is a size 10.

Has anyone bought anything like this, do they fit ok?

I’ve bought a few linen dresses and tops that are one size and most have fit. I’m a 20. I think they must be very big on a size 8 person.

I also bought some ‘magic trousers’. I was very dubious but they did fit although I didn’t like how they looked. They are made of a very stretchy fabric and looked tiny.

Someone I know is modelling for a local shop she's about a 10 - 12 and I think some of the dresses look like they are swamping her.
