dining credits and disney spending money

can the dining credits be used at the food halls in the hotels and also can you use the $200 disney spending money on food and restaurants

Yes to both. A list of the dining venues accepting the credits can be found here, although last time I checked it wasn't quite up to date as some still closed restaurants/hotels were missing, e.g. All Stars Music. Once they have reopened, I would expect them to appear on the list.

so $700 or £500 to use toward our food costs for 2 adults for 2 weeks

If you're staying in a value, that sounds about right. It'll go pretty quickly if you're planning a lot of sit down meals though!

No we prefer to do the quick service meals. We have done the ddp before and found the sit down meals to constrictive in having to be at a certain place at a certain time. Also having to book months in advance. Not even sure I know what I want for dinner tonight lol
