Ours best prices and cruises have been with carnival from Port Canaveral. Mill pond sailing when you have not a clue you are moving. Kids had a ball. Caribbean white sands at every port. Fab prices. Don’t be put off. This is a break. A well deserved break in the UK. This is not a typical cruise. I have done 6 (3 Caribbean, 1 med, 1 Fjords, 1 North Europe) and have never not found a seat where I would want to be. Xx

Absolutely - it was just miserable in the city. We live up at the north coast and somehow managed to escape the worst of the weather. The sun is shining here today too, but I just saw images on BBC news about flash flooding in Belfast!

Yip it was miserable here yesterday so good call the stay onboard.
We have been on a few cruises the last one being on RCL to the Med out of Southampton. There were lots of drunk Brits in the evenings, especially if it had been a sea day. Not my idea of fun, the World Cup was on at the time which may also have contributed to it

I hope it doesn’t put you off, our other sailings have been great

It’s great that Kieran has a pal on board, our son always used to find pals whenever we were away
Again you all looked great for your show / dinner , a pity about the atmosphere during the later part of the evening 😞

Hope day 4 is better 🙏🏻

Sounds like you had a good day, lots of relaxing and plenty of food/drink! A perfect cruise day in my eyes, just missing the Caribbean sun!

I wonder if the British only clientele makes a difference to the atmosphere? Or is it that not all the areas are open? Or a mix on both? I’ve been on many different cruise lines but mainly in the US or Europe to the US so the mix of passengers is a lot different. Although saying that Carnival cruises do seem to be the party ships and that’s not our style so we choose not to sail with them.

I think it’s a mix of both to be honest. We’ve met some really lovely people, but we’ve also witnessed some complete horrors that just don’t have decent manners. I’m not a snob in any way but I believe in treating people with absolute respect and have brought my kids up to do the same. The behaviour of some people towards staff is just shocking.

I think I’d like to try another, but definitely not an all British, preferably somewhere warm (and smooth!) and with a different cruise line. Watch this space!
