Could I upgrade my UK ticket to AP on our first day at Disney? I was thinking the cost of 2+ weeks of parking will offset some of the balance and I could pay for the rest using the giftcards.

Will it mess with any of the park passes or reservations on the MDE?
I'm assuming you're staying offsite since you mentioned parking costs. It could potentially mess with park reservations, since AP holders can't hold as many reserved days as standard ticket guests. I believe it's only 3 at a time, unless also staying onsite as you can book any onsite days on top of this allowance.

Yeah, this is correct. If staying offsite, upgrade in the last three days of the trip.

I’m staying onsite for 5days ($20/day parking at the hotel) and another 10 offsite. Assuming we do parks everyday, that’s about $450 in parking alone.

So since I’m leading with onsite stay, park reservations should be ok?

Only for the 5 days, plus another 3 that would pull from your AP allocation. The final week would have to be booked on a rolling basis as you use each of the 3 AP days.

The $100 parking at the hotel is payable either way with an AP. It's only the park parking that you would then get included. So $250, assuming it's still $25pd and you're going to the parks every day.

Surely they wouldn’t take away the free parking perk ?

Think I went Disney parks 10 times over a 3 week period in 2019 and it’s a bit of a saving
