Nectar points no longer doing days out

Just been booking days out for our staycation next week. Managed to use some Tesco points for London Eye but looking at Nectar you can no longer book days out or use in restaurants?

Disappointing as Sainsbury’s is our main shop each week. I hadn’t noticed they changed the offers so can only spend Argos/Sainsburys then on Eurostar or Nectar hotels.

Just thought I’d post in case anyone else missed this change.

I’m not sure what to use them on either. We have loads but they don’t seem very useful.

I think this has been the case for a few years now, I could be wrong. Sainsburys issue a lot more bonus points (weekly via the app) than say Tesco club card so while you can’t exchange for 3 times the value for days out etc like Tesco, it’s actually easier to earn the equivalent points with nectar. So they are all a much of muchness in terms of value.

Sainsburies always do a double up event in Nov where you can turn a maximum of £50 of points into a £100 voucher to spend on certain departments (non food). It normally includes toys, Tu clothing, Xmas gifts, decorations, cards etc, home items, electrical, entertainment & taste the difference wine and Champaign. Works well if you have one of the large Sainsbury's near you with the large non food department. The event normally lasts a week and there is normally a post on the Dibb when it starts.

You can exchange nectar points for Avios points otherwise I believe most people wait for the annual double-up event or spend their points at Argos
