How fantastic that you managed to soldier on through the rough day, I’m hoping that the next day was calmer. I’ve only been on one short cruise, I had read how calm the Caribbean sea’s were, I went prepared and i felt queasy! Reading about your day - actually made me feel queasy. I’m loving reading this, beautiful photos, you all look so glam, thank you so much for sharing your holiday.

The biggest lie I have ever read about cruising is you don’t feel the movement on big ships! You most certainly do! We try to go for a mid ship low deck cabin to help. We had a particularly bad 5 day crossing from Canada to Ireland a few years ago, the ship was so quiet as so many people were just holed up in their cabins. Luckily neither DH or I get really affected but it wasn’t a fun 5 days. I found showering particularly challenging holding on with one hand! We were on deck 2 and constantly had waves powering against our window. It was an experience and we survived! But if that was my first cruise it might have put me off!

Anyway, glad you were still able to get out and about and enjoy your day.

Really enjoying reading about your trip, thanks for taking the time to share.

My goodness I don’t know how I would cope with the ship rolling . Looks like you’re still enjoying yourselves though.

We went on our first cruise a couple of weeks ago. On our first sea day I was also posting about people saying the lies people say about not feeling a cruise ship move! I was shocked at how it vibrated and the cabin creaked a lot! I was then totally humiliated by throwing up on the floor in the spa! I was worrying the whole cruise would be like it as this was the first day but people reassured me it was exceptionally rough! The pools were closed as looked like they were wave pools! Luckily it was as the worse day by far!
