WDW Marathon - what if we can't get there?

A few weeks back, with talk of an Autumn reopening, I took the plunge to fulfil a long-held ambition to run the Dopey challenge at the WDW marathon weekend.

Looking less likely that we will be able to travel by January next year, so just wondered whether there were any DiBBers running in 2021 who weren't able to get there.

Did Disney refund or let you defer your race entry?

The travel will be covered but getting slightly nervous that I may have just wasted the $600 entry fee

I have signed up for a couple of race weekends, knowing I may loose the money.

No deferrals for runDisney races

The official line is no refunds, but they are known to make exceptions. The borders being closed is a new one, so not possible to say what their stance will be.

I signed up for the Wine and Dine. Very optimistic, I know.
They wouldnt give me a refund, but they very kindly gave me a gift card as the borders are closed.
