So another piece of the puzzle has been added. I've just booked our internal flights from LAX to MCO. This is the bit I'm most nervous about. We've gone with Delta. Its a refundable ticket so if all goes wrong I can get my money back. You pay more for doing so but I'd rather do it. I've paid on my credit card as well for extra protection. It was £624 for the four of us in the main cabin. I've chosen the seats, just the free ones! It was amazing how many seats had un upcharge. It's a really early flight at 6.30am but the girls and Kelly wanted to do this. Its a quicker, cheaper flight than American Airlines(the alternative) and we will arrive in Orlando at 2.20pm as opposed to 5pm with AA. I'm now going to be panicking for the next 11 months about what time to leave for the airport, time to allow to get the car returned, finding the desk, what time do check desks open, paying for luggage, time to allow for security. If anyone knows the answers then please spill the beans! I'm going to be stressing about this bit more than the rest of the holiday put together!

Everything is booked bar Disneyland tickets which I'll do next year.

Following. Just a thought - might it be worth checking into a hotel at the airport the night before the early flight? Then you could get the car return sorted out making one thing less to worry about the following morning?

I didn’t think of that. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have a look at that

We found that LAX, although a hub airport isn't huge and quite straightforward to navigate - the last time we were there was about 15 years ago mind! But it's nothing like MCO. Local hotels all run shuttle buses to and from the airport.
