I know! The idea of them is great! But by the time you’ve set them up and cleaned them, I imagine it’s easier to just make a fresh cup. I’d love a tea at the press of a button though! I wonder why they do coffee capsules but not tea ones.

He has been very understanding. Especially as my eldest got his main present. I’ve told him Santa will deliver his when he can. He didn’t ask for an alternative gift. The game we can’t return (I don’t think) but we can take it to CEX or somewhere and get a voucher for it.

I usually buy my own pjs etc and give them to my husband so that our children can wrap them and I act all surprised on Christmas morning.
This year I only managed to buy myself slippers because I had to isolate then in hospital with our youngest son. So I sent a link, with sizes to my husband for a dressing gown & pj’s (all soft greys) Imagine my surprise on Christmas morning to shocking, bubble gum pink pj’s & dressing gown in 3 sizes bigger than I need 😳 This is why I buy my own 😬 |

I got absolutely nothing. It was my birthday few days before Christmas and didn’t get anything for that either and it was one with a 0 on the end! To be fair i did say I didn’t want anything, would rather save the money towards a holiday when we can. I bought him odds and ends like his favourite drink, biscuits and chocolates just for the sake of him having something to open. He was going to get me some flowers but I told him I would rather have them as a surprise sometime rather than a birthday present as it feels like they have to be bought then, I’m hard work

My Dad used to always ask for presents from M&S , his ritual was no matter the gifts were the right size , colour , style , first day they opened after Christmas he would be down there with them. Not because he didn’t like them but he had to check out there wasn’t something he liked better to exchange it for ! You never knew if he really liked it until he’d been and your gift survived or not.
It became a huge family joke , it never occurred to him he might offend any of us by exchanging our carefully chosen gift , he just had to be sure ! |
