In other Disney parks, but NOT the Tokyo One

The latest pod cast from the great TDR Explorer resource, is a VERY useful one about what happens in other Disney parks, that does NOT happen at the Tokyo parks - food customisation being a big one.

"Hold the mayo please?"
"Errr, what?"

It briefly touches on vegan, gluten free (there is a supermarket one stop away for example, that has a good selection) and I found it a great listen.

in defence of this I was able to ask for food without cheese at every opportunity OH doesnt like cheese (not allergic but really doesnt like the taste).

food plus nuki is a great phrase and was understood (chizu nuki, kudasai).

I have a feeling that foods that locals mifht have allergies too may well be tolerated. Maybe not so much if you ask for a burger with no sauces, hold the cheese and add extra pickles would work...

most places had mockups at the till or pictures of them, so i would simply point to a burger and say

hitotsu (point) o onegaishimasu. (wrinkle nose) chizu nuki, kudadai

then order everything else.

i used the old numbering system so I wouldnt need to learn counters. yes the grammar is very bad but it works as pidgin japanese for a filthy foreigner.
