Thanks, yes I've had a look. It's waiting to see what offers disney have for 2023. I like to book early so I know I have something to look forward to, I'll just have to wait and see what they do.

We are also wanting to return in 2023.
I am expecting to be booking an off site stay because given the way things have been going, I don’t think they will offer free dining. I really want to be wrong. |

They must realise just how expensive it is for us Europeans to vist DIsney World? There has to be some incentive for us to go.

People, me included, didn’t think they’d offer anything for 2022 with it being the anniversary plus people having to postpone from 2020/2021 now going next year, but they did (dining credits). This has given me hope (maybe unrealistically) that they’ll be something for 2023!

Zoe they have done an offer for the "europeans"- the credit, that's why IMO FD isn't coming back any time soon- they are basically getting the same number of bookings for a fraction of the incentive & they know that when that "credit" runs out you are still going to spend onsite because that's where you are staying. The only way FD is coming back is if their current offers don't work but if you look at the number of Dibbers that have booked & that's a small sample ...

Posted on another thread but in case this is helpful here goes!
Just from one person on the phone….. I spoke to WDTC this morning asking about a possible hotel booking for 2022 and while I was on there I enquired if paid DDP was offered, could I add it on later. She said to me it would categorically NOT be available through 2022, not even as a paid option, as the brochures were already printed - I asked her twice to confirm so I was sure I’d understood! She told me there’s no chance of any DDP next year. Full stop. Obviously not exactly a shock but still a shame! She said there was talk of MAYBE something for 2023 onwards but not necessarily a full plan as previously and not necessarily included for free, possibly a paid half board or full board option but as nothing was confirmed she couldn’t be more specific. When I asked why the menus had the dining plan info back on them she said they’d never been removed and wouldn’t be until things were clearer with what might replace it, if anything. Not saying this won’t change but this was what was said to me today. Jo |

I’m really surprised that (a) she said anything as no one knows officially what’s happening yet (b) Disney have already announced that DDP would be coming back at some point. It would be odd for them to wait until 2023 to bring it back. They make money on it, so I’d assumed they’d want to bring it back ASAP, but would wait until all restaurants are open (probably by end of this year or beginning of 2022).

If it’s going to return for 2023 I think we will know by April 2022.
We’re wanting to return in 2023 and the Dining Plan is something I’m hoping for, but will also depend on what other offers are on as well because at the moment there really aren’t any perks or incentives to make me stay onsite. If nothing changes it’ll be Universal along with other stuff Orlando has to offer, and maybe a few Disney park days. Edited at 09:53 PM. |
