Hi all, when does the food festival normally take place?

Thanks

It used to start in late August and end mid-November, although this year it started in mid-July and is running until just before Thanksgiving.

They won't announce the 2022 dates until early next year (probably in March) but at this rate, it might be running half the year.

I hope it’s there for the first half of August 2022 as I always miss it and would love to go.

Apart from small breaks inbetween required for setup, expect there to be a Festival all the way through the year. Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine and Festival of the Holidays.

There are some food booths for Flower and Garden in April/May - that's what we're doing because we don't really want to go in September!

The F&G booths are better IMO. Not that I'm a huge fan of the festivals in general. But F&G is my favourite because it makes Epcot look pretty.

As Yorkie said, they're pretty much running some kind of festival year round now. It's getting difficult to be there on a day that's NOT running one.

It used to be much shorter, but expanded its date range into August in recent years. These are the pre-pandemic start dates:

2019: 29th August
2018: 30th August
2017: 31st August
2016: 14th September
2015: 25th September

Post-pandemic, thus far, the various festivals pretty much run one after the other.

That's good to know

I was hoping they'd be lovely, plus less chance of stag/hen parties and so on (hopefully!), which I hear are very common for F&W!

Drinking around the world is pretty common now, regardless of the festival. But if you can avoid Epcot on Friday and Saturday evenings, you'll miss the bulk of worst offenders.

F&G is better during the day anyway.
