Just the norm - I take it in turns with my mum as to who's house we do dinner in. My turn this year, might have to make the xmas cake soon...

But, just booked lunch at The Ivy and tickets to see Everybody's talking about Jamie for me an a load of girlfriends for between xmas and new year - very excited about that!

We don't have any plans yet. My husband is due home JUST before so fingers crossed he actually makes it. (wouldn't be the first time we were promised before Christmas and it didn't happen)

We moved to the Highlands of Scotland so undecided if we will spend a Christmas at home or visit family. But it's a lot of driving/stressful situation.

I love looking at everyone else's plans and traditions though ☺️

Ours depends on other family members and their shifts. We always have a day at mums with my brother, sil and their 2 girls (adults themselves now but still kids to us) but we don't know until nearer the time if it'll be 25th or 26th. If its 26th, the 4 of us will have a Christmas dinner etc. at home and a lovely lazy day walking the dogs, having a few drinks and chilling, DH likes to involve himself in whatever Lego DS gets. We are incredibly lucky to both be off for around 2 weeks at Christmas, think that's one of the reasons I love it so much.

As someone who is serving AND a military wife, I completely feel your pain. I have absolutely everything crossed that the military is true to their word and you get to have your Christmas together! Being deployed, or having loved ones deployed, at Christmas sucks!

Oh I have everything crossed you’ll get your trip! Hungover in Vegas on Christmas Day would definitely be better than food poisoning in the U.K. on Christmas Day 🤣

My hubby absolutely cannot wait until DS is Lego age 🤣 dreading him becoming PlayStation/XBox age as he has no clue what he’s doing 😂

From experience, if/when your ds gets to gaming age, I think he will fast be the expert in any case!

Our son has aspergers so as long as he has a few ps5 games to occupy him, he couldn't care less if it's Christmas or not. And we don't have much family so all quiet there too.
So if I could justify the cost and covid wasn't a worry, I think I would prefer to go away somewhere warm and forget about it. I don't think I'm even going to bother about a Christmas dinner
Sorry to be morbid but it's still nice to see what everyone else will be doing x
I’m so sorry for our losses - I can’t begin to imagine how tough it must be to face the first Christmas without your parents. We have a beautiful golden star photo frame Christmas decoration with a little photo of my Auntie who we lost to cancer a few years ago. It’s really hard doing Christmas without loved ones so we’ve tried to find a few little ways to remember them on the day. Xx
