We've on our 9th winter in SW Fl followed by enjoying late spring/summer in the UK, we'll take that for as long as we're able vs the UK's winter. My 92/90 year old parents continue to thoroughly enjoy their retirement, we take them out 3 or 4 times a week even tho da can no longer walk and was diagnosed Alzheimer and we thoroughly enjoy our time with them

As Sue said, you may revisit your decision as you age, or not, either way may you continue to enjoy your life, as many retirees do theirs

My late father in law found himself busier when he was retired than when he was in work ! I think he would have gone back to work for a rest

I am planning a retirement do in costa, and all my dibber friends are invited (it's in costa Ruislip).

I will look at doing some voluntary work probably next year, and full respect to the many dibbers that already give up their time to help others.

My wife is happy to carry on working as she doesn't mind doing her job, plus she is a few years younger than me (her company pension also won't be great), but she expects me to cook her dinner everyday, so I am currently negotiating that with her, as 4 or 5 times a week is fair enough, but not 7 days (I can't let her take advantage).
