Gatwick security

How long does it usually take to get through security at Gatwick north we will be flying out on a Monday morning in October. We were booked on the 1.15 out of Gatwick on virgin but they’ve changed us to the 10.15 flight didn’t receive an email though but after reading a couple of threads on here and virgin changing things around I double checked my booking and they had changed us. So we’ve cancelled vroom now as wont really have much spare time in the morning. Has anyone paid the extra to go through premium security. Thank you.

For as long as I can remember (20+ trips), security at Gatwick has taken no more than 15 mins.

It’s never took us very long either, probably about 15 minutes as well

Family lane took us less than 5 mins 2 weeks ago at Gatwick North, although the queues at 7 am on a Saturday morning didn't look too bad through normal security.

15 to 20 minutes sounds about right, we’ve not taken any longer the last 4 or so trips.
