As others have said - technically no.
Food should only be re-heated once.

If I was at home, then I would (and often do) reheat things more than once.
But that's my own home - no one to blame but myself.

In your situation - especially with people who could already be weakened and susceptible to bacteria - no, I wouldn't reheat it again.

As others have suggested, why not ask her if she is ready for her soup before the kitchen start heating it up? That way, if she isn't ready, you can set some aside for her to re-heat for later.

There might only be a slim chance of her getting food poisoning but why should I risk my job or anything.
You should have protected mealtimes that way everybody can have their meal without disturbance from visitors

I agree at home it’s fine but not in the workplace where you are looking after others!

I wouldn’t reheat meat more than once I think you’re completely right - especially in the work place!

Is the lady on end of life care - that’s a different matter I would bend over backwards to ensure she had it hot later - but would only reheat once

Reheat once only. As she is elderly she is prone to sicknesses and aside from her being unwell she can pass it onto others and D&V in a care home is not a pretty sight, I've been there (as a worker ). Keep hers to one-side and heat it when she is ready.

I agree with you I certainly wouldn't reheat it more than once at a work place.

So she moaned because you were looking out for her Mother's health - nice!

As there is meat in the soup I would only re-heat once. If it was veg only I would probably reheat again but there is never any left overs in our house to worry about such things.
