We had a huge flock of herring gulls yesterday, all up and down the crescent. Apparently they were feeding on the swarms of flying ants. They were everywhere too, worse than love bugs!

I have had an escaped chicken in my garden today.

The cat strolled over from the other end of the garden to take a look but decided to keep a suitable distance away.

Weve just had the swarms of gulls this afternoon/evening, very hot and muggy here just now, feels like a storm brewing.

Strangely I can often hear seagulls at the moment, very unusual here these days.

Last week we were treated to the delightful sight of two magpies pecking at dead magpie.

At my mom's at the weekend. We could hear a strange bird call. There was a budgie up in the tree! I guess an escaped pet.

The gulls are back, crows being less naughty but still think they are kings of the estate but my little birds have stopped coming in the garden again. It was nice seeing sparrows etc back.
