We have the whole bathroom/shower done in the plastic shower panels (they look like corrugated cardboard in the middle but its all plastic). Been up 8 years and look as good as new.
We also put up plastic tongue and groove ceiling and thats lasting just was well. This week we've have to replace shower (as it packed in) and the door seals on the cabinet as they had gone yellow |

No chipboard, all PVC so wont rot.
They clip together but if you do the whole room and there is a problem, eg you need a new shower, they all have to come down. A couple of panels in the shower is fine though

Mine aren't plastic, not sure what material they are. At worst you would have to take one wall down as they are joined in the corners, although I think you would be OK taking however many panels from a corner to whatever needs replacing. And then you could reinstall the panels

We've just installed Mermaid Panels...Milanese Stone...Absolutely love them. You can see samples in Wickes but we ordered online as it was way way cheaper.
Edit: We ordered ours from the Bathcentre.co.uk (2 sided kit for £541.00 - 1200 x 1200). It looks really dark on the website though and in reality it's really light so definitely check out Wickes for the samples. Edited at 06:02 PM. |

They are plastic coated marine ply boards. Well that’s the ones we had installed. They need to be installed correctly and ours haven’t blown or leaked. Very easy to clean. Would recommend over tiles.

Ours are three years old and white. Also have it on the ceiling of the shower.
They have been really good. Much easier than tiles to keep clean and no grout mould issues. Haven’t faded or discoloured. Edited at 06:08 PM. |

We used IPSL and would highly recommend them.
