Indian Matchmaker

Anyone else watching this? Netflix series, about an Indian Matchmaker, who professionally matches people to marry, I am finding it fascinating! Especially how involved the whole family are, and the list of �critieria� when people select each other, seems to be very long list compared to back in my day, where I liked how DH looked and thought he was funny!

Looks like something we would enjoy...so is it arranged marriages or something like that?

Well, just putting them together in the hope they marry is the general gist of it I think...theres a lot more pressure to marry in the culture. Although the match maker did say this generation are bending things more, making their own decisions etc, I still think they are a long way from where we are, especially in terms of being gay or trans etc.

I really enjoyed the program. It seems to be the more modern arranged introductions rather than arranged marriage. There is one mother though who is trying for the latter!

I have just been binge watching Instant Hotels an Australian competition to find the best Air BNB house. There are some very entertaining characters and some very unusual properties. They improved the format for the second series and even added Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, the mad one off Changing Rooms years ago.

Yes they really are! I wish there was another season I want to watch more...
