She can whine all she likes, but stop and search is needed in London more than anywhere else.

Yesterday there were 3 murders and 14 stabbings in London.

BBC say it was a BMW. Now the police were polite towards her and the driver HOWEVER, they also found cause to investigate the car as it passed where they were. Why? The most likely reason based on historic incidents would be because it was driven by a black man.

Is that not the point the MP is making?
Well exactly. They made a mistake but after deciding they needed to check the car/driver/passenger out.

Clearly she was pulled over because they saw the car was registered in Yorkshire and they couldn't see the whippets on the back seats or the driver not wearing their flat cap and thought this is worth a closer look... I'm a yorkshire girl I can say these things we only get offended when we arnt offered yorkshire tea 😉😉

Perhaps they were looking for bags of the good stuff. Yorkshire gold.

100% agree, I have always thought getting rid of this was stupid.

This is something that should be increased across all ethnicities and all areas. In London black on black knife crime is horrendous as is white on white crime in say Manchester.

Profiling is used in most police forces in the world as in all intelligence agencies. It’s used because it works.

The below from the BBC seems really odd .

The first two letters of the plate are reflective of where the car was registered ( eg a car registered in Preston always starts with a P) . So one must assume it could only be of the first two letters that was entered incorrectly ( probably the first one ) for one to be Yorkshire and one London
But surely the chances of say YT69ABC and VT69ABC being the same make model and colour are really low ?
( I could believe it more that say YT69ABC and YT69ABD were the same make /model /colour as at least they would have been registered at the same dealer - but then they would both be Yorkshire regs )
All seems a bit odd
