Things to do with young adults

I have recently retired and have booked to take our children (24 girl & 21 boy)back to Florida for one last Florida family trip as we have always loved everything about it. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do away from the parks please.

Technically in the resort but Hoop de Doo is a lot of fun!
Also Jellyrolls at Boardwalk.
There’s also a lot of fun bars and entertainment stuff at Citywalk in Universal.
If you’re looking to drive anywhere, any of the beaches like Clearwater (I’d avoid Daytona, it’s a bit grim)
St Augustine isn’t too far away and it’s really pretty
Downtown Orlando has a lot of things to look into as well!

What sort of things do they like doing?

My children and 21 & 24 and some of Rayray’s suggestions they love, a couple were not their thing at all.

My are happy shopping, Lake Eola, Winter Gardens, Celebration, and beach is always good. Drive in movie place (we haven’t done it yet).

Son really wants to go shooting but I’m not sure what the overall cost would be I’ve seen prices range from 50- $400 Might look at it more closely

We really enjoyed Howl at the Moon (Jellyrolls is very similar on Disney). Really good night out.

Shooting we found wasn't too costly and you can get deals on Groupon.

Wild Florida is really nice.
Bikes at Celebration was a nice few hours out.

Kelly park is my favourite place.
Kayaking on Weeki Wachee, there's also a park there too which is decent.

What do you mean by away from the parks? Local without a car, local within an hour, willing to re-base for a few days.

Day trip wise you have Kennedy Space Centre to the East, Tampa / Clearwater with the Marina to the West.

Further afield Miami would be an area for them, but would be a re-base to do it justice.

Airboat ride with Spirit of the Swamp or a nighttime tour with Boggy Creek airboats (great in the dark, but wear long trousers).
edit sorry this is in parks - The 'Taste of the Magic Kingdom VIP' backstage tour is fun for all ages of adults.

Bowling is always a good cross the generations activity , cinemas are quite the thing , big sofa type set ups in some , at those ages they probably have a few ideas themselves though so why not ask them what they like the sound of .

My lot still love the mini golf in Florida.

We also really enjoyed Little Toot dolphin spotting boat trip at Clearwater. There is the Sea Screamer if they want more high-powered water action though!

Agree with pp about a trip to the cinema. We only thought we'd seen big tubs of popcorn until we went there!

Major activity for our family is shopping! They love the malls and the outlet stores too.

We enjoy walking in Lake Louisa are hoping to try some kayaking next time - just doing some research on where to do it.

There is so much to do besides the theme parks. Have fun planning
