Davenport - food shopping/restaurants
We have a villa booked in Davenport for a few weeks time and this site has proved invaluable in our planning - thankyou! We have park tickets but plan a few rest days so will need supplies and places to eat out. Having never visited Davenport (or indeed Orlando) before I'd welcome any insights!

Hi
Davenport is a very large area, do you know the location of the villa?

It might be worth a forum search - I remember exactly the same question being asked a couple of times recently and lots of answers were given.

As Travelgirl says the expression "Davenport" is used to describe dozens of villa communities usually either side of US27 for a length of about 20 miles and also extends eastwards into the Champions Gate area.
So as suggested if you can name the actual community it would help you getting better advice. Mick

Following on from my reply above if you are staying anywhere near Legacy Park (as we do) or Tuscan Hills this is a post I make regularly.
Drive north a mile or so on US27 and travel east on the US192 and after 5 minutes you will be in a short stretch of road with Manny’s, Longhorn, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Texas Roadhouse, Red Lobster, Joes Crab Shack, Bonefish Grill, Outback, Carrabbas, Millers Ale House, Cracker Barrel, Sweet Tomatoes - bound to have missed a couple These are all family friendly and are steak, fish, Italian. There's also the usual fast food places. Go south on 27 for a couple of minutes to Berry Town Center and there’s an Applebees and iHOP. Mick

It wasn't open when we went in Nov 2015 but it was when our daughter went in Aug 2016. So it opened sometime between the two dates. We were regulars in Feb/March.
Yes - next to Applebees. Mick

Excellent. Staying on highlands next week and haven't been to that area since 2014, so a bonus.
