Mardi Gras Munchies - Feb 2020 - Universal - Complete
Welcome to my first food report for 2020 and yes I know I said there definitely wouldn’t be anymore till the summer! What can I say “My name’s Rescuer and I’m an Orlando addict.”
We’ve been to Orlando a few times 😂 and I’ve written a food report for all my trips since 2013. All my reports can be found here. Cast Me (46) Chief planner and obsessive Disney and Universal fan. I think I drive ds and dh to distraction with my constant call for family holiday planning meetings, however, they never complain when we get there and the plan works. According to DH I am a food snob according to Dh, he tells me I am very particular in where and what eat I eat yet I’m not fussy really, eggs, soggy brussels sprouts and cherry flavoured things are the only foods I detest. DH (48) Secret Disney and Universal fan. Loves it as much as me but can’t be bothered with the planning. He is the fussier one – no tomatoes, no mushrooms, no beans, no olives… DS (12) My apprentice! He prefers to Universal plan but loves to make a list. He eats everything and anything, loves to try new food! Ds says he is going to give his opinion of the food in the report this time. So in typical pre teen fashion don’t be expecting lots of words, I’ll be impressed if i get more than a meh, ye, grunt etc... Plan We are staying at Aventura for a week with a night at RPR just in case express passes are necessary. Universal will be our only parks. As before, I plan for our trip report to be as live as I can manage. Not long to go. Where we plan to eat. We are humming and hawing over 51st and Green lounge in Dublin as we have a fair amount of time there. Aer Lingus flights - no clue about the food offerings. The Palm - Hard Rock Mardi Gras Food Tents with the $60 lanyard for 15 snacks. Amatista at Sapphire Falls Roof top bar - Aventura A selection of universal favourites - bread box, Cowfish, vivos, Panda Express, confisco grill etc - no definite plans. Can’t wait! Where we actually ate: Costa - airport 51st and Green Lounge - Dublin Airport Aer Lingus food Urban Pantry - Aventura Amatista Cookhouse - Sapphire Falls Green Eggs and Ham NBC Bar and Grill Voodoo Doughnuts Mardi Gras Snacks Breadbox Walmart Snacks Panda Express Amway Center Strong Water Tavern - Sapphire Falls Panera Bread Five Guys Bar 17 - Aventura The Palm - Hard Rock Hotel Starbucks - Aventura Confisco Grill Mardi Gras Snacks Cowfish Lombards Mardi Gras Snacks Breadbox Starbucks Mythos Strong Water Tavern Amatista Hot Butter Beer Urban Pantry - Aventura Airport Snacks Edited at 11:43 PM. |

We are hoping to get to the bar at the top of Aventura as well. DS and his GF are staying there. Also need to find out more about the lanyard for Mardi Gras treats.
