Anyone else taken advantage of the low Hawaii flight prices?
As with booking for anything at the moment I understand there’s a risk with Covid effects still likely but couldn’t help but take a chance when I spotted return flights from my local regional airport to Honolulu for £300 (plus £90 for checked baggage) for June 2021 on Air France website (helped I had £120 voucher to use with them too).
Anyone else taken advantage too? Not sure I’ll be booking anything else for it for a while unless any hotels have a good price at free cancelation & no pre payment but will be nice to spend the winter doing lots of research in hope we get the chance to visit 😊 |

Ive literally only just got my refund from our cancelled hawaii flights from June so I won’t be risking anything any time soon.
Opodo were an absolute nightmare ! I think with Hawaii being so cautious about tourism makes it a little too risky for me right now, we will wait till next year to book or maybe push back to year after . |

Yes Fully understand FizzyWhip- I’m fully prepared knowing it may be a booking that ends in cancelation but I would never had booked if it was through a third party like Opodo and also made sure I paid with credit card for added protection. I realise it’s a gamble to a degree but I was happy taking it on this occasion & like I said I’m not going to put any more ££ into the trip until nearer the time, hope you get to rebook yours at some point

I’m desperate to go back but there are so many uncertainties - I could see a scenario where you could get into the US but not Hawaii for example (depending on what happens with their situation).
Currently there are different policies for different islands. I would like to imagine that will have been worked out by then but that’s not certain. I also think it may be not the usual experience with so many tourist experiences on hold at best, or shuttered forever. Many of my favourite restaurants have gone
