Ive spent the last few days on trip advisor and many of the recent reviews have said the smell of weed is quite strong in the corridors and rooms from previous guests.
What other hotels are on your shortlist?

As for Las Vegas, we have opted for the Newyork Newyork for next August... Because it is near McCarran and more importantly... because it has a Rollercoaster.
Dont forget the High Roller further up the strip. I am too scared to give that a try!

I am terrified of big wheels. Once took the kids to M&Ds (Scotland) and had to get off before it started leaving them with dad.

Anyway, booked tickets for the High Roller before we went last year. It was the one with the bar. I was terrified, sitting down and not looking out until I’d had three drinks then I was fine . I’d definitely do it again! We managed 7/8 drinks in the time it took to do a revolution. The bar staff are amazing .

That’s good to hear. I have thought of trying it but when I got up to it it’s massive! I do like to partake of a few drinks myself what can you get? Is it just certain drink? We are staying at Caesars and can get a good deal on the high roller. Did you manage to see anything or were you too scared to look? Hope we get to go this time!

We are known for our lack of courage so tend to book and pay for things before we go. If the £ is committed we are less likely to back out (did the same with the helicopter to the canyon).

They have a good selection of drinks - certainly all the usuals but out bar tender had us on cocktails and shots. She was a riot and we were both a bit tiddly when we got off.

The views were fab - after the three drinks I stood at the window the rest of the revolution

WoW amazing view if I dare look. Think if I had 7/8 drinks I would be more than tiddly! We like cocktails so that would suit me fine, hope I can find the courage to give it a try. Thanks for the info.

I honestly would not take those reports too seriously. I am going to take a look myself as I am surprised. I was in Vegas at least 3 times last year and twice this year and never had this problem. If caught there are hefty fines and removal from the hotel. Vdara smells so gorgeous I wish I could bring the smell home with me!
I know we have COVID now but can’t think that would make people smoke in their rooms? Especially all hotels.

Just read about 10 pages of reviews, lol, for Vdara. There was one, for a person getting to their room and it smelled of weed. They were immediately offered an upgraded room and comped resort fees for the stay. Did you see more? The way I see it that could happen anywhere really. It would worry me if people were consistently complaining of the smell. It doesn't say anything about weed smell in corridors. There are a few reports since Covid of rooms not being cleaned properly which concerns me. Hope this does not continue once the hotel gets back to running normally again. We have this hotel booked for January. if there are any others you have in mind I could see if I have stayed there. Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars, are all good hotels. Hope that one report does nor put you off Up till now we have had no complaints at all and love it there. Hope during Covid things have'nt changed.
