I always do it straight after showering in the morning. You should ideally apply 20 mins before sun exposure anyway. Pop it on then leave to dry while I do my hair/make up, then get dressed. Just be careful doing it on tiled surfaces as it can get really slippy, especially using a spray bottle. I speak from experience! I usually put a towel down and stand on that.

We only use Asda products as it has 5 stars... Nivea doesn't but I have to buy it for the holiday smell.
Ultrasun is no good for me as I am covered in freckles and it does not work. xx

Are all the ultrasun products 'once s day'?

Going to get the spf30 family 400ml but don't want to be carrying it around all day.

I don’t know about all of them, but that one definitely is.
I have always used that on DD (usually applied around 7-7:30am) and never needed to reapply throughout the day.
The only exception being when we are swimming - but that’s possibly more so out of my paranoia of her getting burnt rather than necessity.

I have Italian heritage so never used mush sun screen. When my beautiful strawberry blond, milk white daughter was a toddler, she got burned on the beach in 15 minutes, in spite of being creamed up. The local pharmacist told me it is essential to but sun creams on a good half hour to going out and in a cool place. The creams work better if they bond to your skin.

I have always had my kids screen up before heading out. My Houstonian son and his family put cream on first thing in the morning so they don't forget and don't burn.

Ocean Potion Burn Relief Ice is excellent aftersun, contains lidnocaine and removes any sting immediately.

We use ultrasun as it's once a day. This is the brand my Dr recommended. If you keep an eye on qvc they do special offers quite a lot for sets of different factors/aftersun. I always get a set of the very small 25ml travel size ones to keep in my bag in case anyone feels the need to reapply in the parks.
