What do your kids call you?

My boys are 15 & 11, my youngest still calls me mummy when no one is around and the rest of the time I’m mum to both boys (my eldest only calls me mummy when he is jokingly trying to get something from me!)

I’m interested in those that call their mums ‘mother’ - that sounds a really harsh word to me, as if I was cross - I can’t seem to say it with softness!

I changed from calling mine Mummy to Mother when I was about 14. Just because I felt too old to call her Mummy and didn't like Mum.

James is 5 he calls me mama and John he calls dad lol John much prefers daddy

My eldest daughter used mummy & daddy for the longest but that slowly stopped after starting school because everyone said mum & dad. My middle then proceeded to say mum & dad like his big sister.
My youngest has just turned 6 and calls me mama (I call him baba) but he says dad not daddy.
He must call me mum when he is with friends or at school because cards and notes always say mum & dad

Eldest calls me Mum, youngest says Mam. The eldest calls her dad by his first name, youngest calls him dad. They both call my husband (their stepdad) by his first name. My own mother is Mam to me, and always has been even when I was young.

Both my girls have nicknames for me as well (this is what they have me set up as on their phones!) - eldest calls me Gucci Mama (don't ask ), youngest Mama Bear.

Definitely mum. We are in the northeast so mam is common but I’m not from the area and definitely prefer mum.

Id hate to be called ‘mother’. It sounds so formal. And to my ears mummy is for babies. So it’s definitely mum to me.
