Our Picks. where else would you suggest

I've researched the menus of most of the restaurants TS we've never done TS before. I cant look at anything else food related at Disney as I might combust

Going only on the menu here are our picks
Rainforrest Cafe - AK
Sci-Fi dine in Theatre - HS
Rose & crown - Epcot

SplitsVille - D Springs
T-Rex - D Springs
Wolf Gang pucks - D Springs

What is your experience of these places. Any alternative suggestions

We are a family of 3 on the DDP, DS is 10 and not fussy as such but he knows what he likes which isnt fancy food. We will have breakfast at BOMA quite often as we are bigger breakfast eaters than dinner, the bigger the breakfast the less we eat the rest of the day. We are staying at AKL and my DH doesn't want to plan every single detail (Which I get but to eat at some of these restaurants we need to book asap).

EDIT also booking tusker house for breakfast

Edited at 07:30 PM.

Thoroughly recommend Teppen Edo in Epcot, our DDs loved it.

Rainforest cafe and T-Rex are pretty similar, so I wouldn’t do both (actually personally I wouldn’t do either as I’m not a fan!) As above, Teppan Edo is great and we’ve just had a fantastic meal at Raglan Road. I also wouldn’t plan to do breakfast in the same place repeatedly. There are lots of great breakfast buffets in the parks and at other resorts, so it’s worth mixing it up. You also potentially lose park time by hanging around for an ADR in resort - you can do EMH at a park and then get breakfast as other guests start to pile in. (I definitely hear you on the breakfast thing - we love to fill up and then don’t eat again until evening.)

If you are staying at AKL, then would your son enjoy the Sanaa menu? If you go when it's light you can see the animals from the restaurant.

OP. I always take reviews with a pinch of salt but do look for trends emerging.

Your choices look ok to me apart from the Sci Fi Diner. Reviews are not good. This may help.

Plus of course we all have different tastes and expectations. Wolfgang Puck comes out well. Plus a load on here have commented positively about Splitsville.

Sci-Fi is always a must for us. Food isnt the highest quality, but for someone who enjoys burgers and fries (like my OH) it is good.
Sci-Fi is more about the experience, as it really has something special in that dept.

As others have said, would recommend Teppan Edo. Really enjoyed our meal here.
Also Garden Grill, had both dinner and breakfast here last year and preferred breakfast. However both times the character interactions were great!

We ate at T. rex tonight and not on the dining plan, use sour Landrys card to get us seated quickly. Food was hot and tasty and service was fine, we alternate between Rainforest and T. rex as they’re pretty similar. Our other must do is Yak and yeti at animal kingdom.
