Crushes Coaster
We fly out tomorrow to DLP and was wondering whether anyone can tell me how much of a coaster this ride is - is it suitable for 4 years old. Any guidance would be appreciated. Also is the Cars ride suitable for a 2 year old?

Crushes coaster is a coaster without great big dips, but you get thrown about quite a lot and twirled, not sure your 4 year old would be tall enough to ride as there is a restriction (not sure of height). Cars ride is suitable for all, a bit like the waltzers, but little cars twirling and crossing. We laughed all the way through this ride and there were little ones on it, but not sure if they were as young as two. I'm sure someone else will have more details for you.

Thanks for that. Would you compare the coaster to the likes of Goofys Barnstormer, Woody Woodpecker coaster or Shamu's coaster in Florida?

Crush is a Mauhrer Stone Spnining Mouse Coaster.
It is similar to Alton Tower's Spinball Whizzer, or Camelot's Whirlwind... You can see construction photos of it, without its "lid" here... Its fairly tame speed wise - it was meant to be a family coaster, but it does spin a fair bit, dependent on weight distribution of the car. There are 4 of you arranged in a 2 x 2, back to back. As has already been mentioned, there is a height restriction - 1.07m. 4yr old will be find on it, as long as they're tall enough and are not frightened by dark rides. However, more importantly this ride does NOT have a FastPass Ive no idea why - crazy decision If you want to ride this, queue up at the park gates 10 mins before opening time, then RUN through Studio 1, turn right and keep running until you are in the queue for Crush. Otherwise expect wait times of over an hour ALL DAY - even on quiet midweek days. Its madness. Id wait 15/20 mins for it - as its a good coaster - but no longer. HTH

Apparently EMH is coming to the Studios (at last) so if you're staying onsite, make use of it!

Cheers everyone. Think my 4 year old would love - not sure about my wife though - she hates coasters!

Personally the spinning element made this more of a gut churner for me than RNRC or Space Mountain.
Little tip - we went to this ride first when the gates opened about or just after half 9 and the ride was already operational and we walked almost straight on. |

My DD was 2 when we rode Cars and she loved it (we did about 3 times), she's quite a daredevil and loved the Mad Hatters tea cups (and spun the wheel in the middle to make it go even faster!) - have a great time!
