When are you going? Did you book half board? When we know what you have included we can maybe recommend food/excursions etc

We’re flying with Emirates from Manchester on 27th May, staying for a week. We decided to go for the bed and breakfast option as I didn’t want to be too tied to the hotel / dashing back for meal times.

I’ve had booking confirmation through this morning and it appears we’ve got a free ticket to Dubai Parks and Resorts so we’ll definitely be taking advantage of that. I was hoping we’d be able to visit the miracle garden and also Global Village but it looks they’ll both be closed when we’re there.

We’re a family of three - me, my mum and my son who will be 12. Unfortunately we all have different tastes when eating 🙄 my son loves burgers / restaurant chains, my my mum is quite a plain eater and I’m a bit more adventurous!

Any suggestions would be fab!

Oh how lovely another trip booked

Emirates planes are lovely. The twinkly lights on the ceiling after dinner always make me smile. I’ve not stayed there but it looks lovely

I’ve been at that time of year, it will be hot so plan your days accordingly. If you haven’t got any meals you should definitely consider getting The Entertainer. 100’s of meals, activities, brunches etc all buy one get one free.
The fountains are lovely and nice to see, right next to Burj Khalifa so yo could do the two together (the are both at same place as Dubai Mall if you want to go there too)

just researching Dubai for next May we know very little about Dubai , but we love the heat and fancy a change from Vegas/Orlando. I just wanted to ask if anyone has any info about the Hyatt regency or the Jood palace both in Deira .. is this a good area? I know taxis are cheapish in Dubai so not too fussed about travelling around. another question dress code I know to respect the culture with below the knee and arms covered but I've just got back from Florida and really struggled to wear anything other than a vest top and shorts due to the heat but I don't want to be disrespectful in anyway.
another thing the prices i've heard horror stories about £25 glasses of wine really expensive meals and others telling me you don't have to spend that, were not big drinkers at all but like the odd drink and a nice meal don't really want to spend a fortune on food at all.

also apart from the obvious is there anything we need to be mindful of with it being Ramadan ?
thanks in advance

I've just booked! We're going next May on the 24th for 9 nights. Staying at the Grand Hyatt in a club creek view family room with bed and breakfast. I also added 1 day Motiongate tickets for the group as the price was ridiculously cheap in comparison to ATD. Soooo excited!
