Free Bar...

Great work there!
Thank you

How rare those words are FREE BAR!

As for Miami Airport - I have shared a couple of texts in the last few weeks with a few friends who are looking at the lack of Virgin Flights to MCO.

Our first experiences of Miami airport were dire, it was not a place you really wanted to be dropped into- but did offer some wonderfully cheap price options They win every time!

However- it has seen an amazing makeover and is now a place that is a million times better than before and now on a par with the majority of airports throughout the world.

It is now a good place to arrive and to get to the car hire place and no longer that -what kind of hell have we arrived into!
For future plans it is a good alternative if we have no Orlando option.

Thanks for going reading and hope it helps planning for the future

Travel days are always exhausting but the adrenaline always pulls you through!

I remember the text messages and screen shots with you regarding the Virgin plane "race to takeoff"

Interesting to be reminded of the route as that is what we have booked (If it ever happens) this time round!

I've made a note of The Curator! Thanks!

The wonder of the Flightaware app

I would love to pilot a plane trying to outdo another airline to a quicker departure

As always, keep the faith for your trip - it might just happen.

That was a decent travel day, but those early alarms really do startle you awake! I think you definitely made the right decision waking the boys up for ice cream - I know my children would be mad if I let that pass!

We went through Miami in November, and can honestly say it's the worst airport we've connected through. We would definitely drive from there like you did if we ever find ourselves there again, rather than get a connecting flight. It's nice that you made it a bit up the road towards Orlando, and a perfect end to the evening with donuts and some pool time.

I don't think we would have got away with not waking them for ice creams
It has taken years to get them to sleep on a flight without thinking they are missing out on something!

Miami is actually better than it was - I know that sounds odd but it is 100% better than it was in 2008 and still 100% better than our other experiences there.

We have tried a variety of ways of getting up to Orlando from MIA. The flight connector in 2008 was a nightmare.

I have driven straight up from MIA and from Fort Lauderdale before and as much as it is an easy drive, it is a tough one for the driver as everyone else falls asleep and you then arrive into Orlando really late.

To have a stop at a early time of the evening (US time) in what was a short distance from MIA but an infuriating drive due to the traffic was a great way of getting a headstart in the morning

It was great to have some pool time tonight and it helped just ease us into the holiday spirit

A great travel day and to have swim time and free beers really did cap it off

Joe, I’ve often wondered about the sneezing with your eyes open thing myself.

Loved your pictures from the plane, I get travel sick and it is aggravated by looking out the window, so I never get to enjoy the view.

I’m sure immigration halls are purposely stiflingly hot just to add to the tension.

A very smooth travel day until you hit Miami, but as you say, you ended it that little bit closer to Disney, what more could anyone want?!

I was going to reply with a giggle in response to your Joe comment

Your own words about feeling travel sick changed my emoji!
That must make for such a tough travel day for you.

At this moment in life I would gladly be that close to Disney every day
